Experience the natural and cultural history of Resaca de la Palma State Park on our First Day Hike! Start 2025 off right in the outdoors!
Join the rangers for an interpretive First Day Hike to learn about Resaca de la Palma State Park’s natural and cultural history. The hike is about 2 miles long and moderate in difficulty. The hike includes a walk down Ebony Trail and to the first bridge of the Tram Loop. Expect the walk to last about 2 hours as there are frequent stops to discuss topics such as flora, fauna and history. You'll receive a First Day Hike sticker upon completion!
Bring: Plenty of water, bug spray, sun protection, sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
Cost: Free with park admission or a Texas State Park Pass. Adults: $4; Children 12 & under: Free
Meet: At the Visitor Center to check-in 15 minutes prior to the program.
